Love is in the air! Florists are rushing, greeting cards are being purchased by the dozens, and sweet, delectable treats can be found in every bakery and grocery store aisle around the country. Yes, Valentines Day is nearly upon us, and that means it’s time for some sweet, delicious treats!
For me, nothing says Valentines Day more than chocolate! The delicious taste of this cocoa temptress, teamed with the heart-shaped holiday is the perfect combination to help you through those chilly February nights. Indeed, chocolate was made for Valentines Day, and Valentines Day would be nothing without chocolate!
So today we thought we’d take our chewy, delicious, chocolately fudge brownie mix and show you the perfect Valentines Day treat you can create for your sweet heart, Raspberry Buttercream Brownies! Prepare for the deliciousness!
1 box Honeyville Fudge Brownie Mix
1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
1/4 cup Water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water, and mix together until a soft batter forms.
Pour batter into a 9×13 pan. I used a jelly roll, but you could use a cake pan as well.
Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Remove and allow to cool for 1 hour.
While brownies are cooling, combine crushed raspberries, butter, powdered sugar, and lemon juice in a medium mixing bowl and mix, using an electric hand mixer, until a smooth frosting forms.
Cut the brownies in half, and, taking one half, frost top of brownies with buttercream frosting.
Take the other half of brownies and place on top of the frosted brownies.
Using a large knife, cut brownies into small, bite sized cubes.
Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
