Don’t you just love those warm and hearty meals that always come around this time of year? Whether it’s creamy Chicken Pot Pies, warm Chili Bowls, or hearty Stews, this is definitely that time of the year when we crave everything warm and delicious!
Today, we’ve got just that type of recipe to melt your soul and fill you up with hearty goodness! Best of all, it only takes 12 minutes to bake! How is that possible you ask? By baking the whole thing in our Fagor 3 in 1 Pressure Cooker! And believe me when I tell you, not only does it cook up super quick and delicious, but the whole thing makes a meal a family of five can enjoy!
We used our delicious Honeyville Freeze Dried White Turkey as the main ingredient, which you can now purchase in a smaller, individual can, to create this creamy masterpiece. And because this is a pressure cooker recipe, you don’t have to worry about re-hydrating your freeze dried ingredients. Just drop them in with your liquid ingredients and let the pressure cooker do the rest!
Ingredients:
4 cups Honeyville Freeze Dried White Turkey
1 lb Rotini Pasta (or any pasta of your choice)
1 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Celery
1/4 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Onion
1 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Mushrooms
2 cans (10 oz each) Cream of Chicken Soup
2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 cup Slivered Almonds
5 1/2 cups Water
Directions:
First, get your pressure cooker ready.
Using the keypad on your Fagor 3 in 1 Cooker, press the “High” button under the pressure cooking settings until the number 12 appears, then press start. This will set your cook time to 12 minutes, but the pressure won’t begin to build until the lid is locked in place on the cooker.
In your pressure cooker, combine all ingredients.
Add the 5 1/2 cups of water, stir once, then lock the lid in place. Then, just walk away and let the pressure cooker do it’s thing!
Once the cooker is done cooking, it will begin to beep. At that point, release the pressure in the cooker by turning the dial on top from “pressure” to “steam.” Remember, you won’t be able to take the lid off the cooker until all the pressure has been released.
Once pressure is released, remove the lid, stir the meal once, then scoop and serve!
This meal is super creamy, warm, and hearty! The combination of cream of chicken, celery, onion, and mushrooms really bring out all the flavor in the Turkey and give you a meal the whole family will want again and again. You never knew that pasta could taste this good, and all from a pressure cooker!
Yes, it’s time to bring the “pressure” back to your kitchen, and this is the perfect recipe to get you on the pressure cooking trend!
