What is it about fall and soup that go so well together? Is it the warm, creamy taste on a cool autumn evening? Is it the hearty filling that seems to warm our souls from head to toe? Yes, no matter what the rhyme or reason, soup and fall seem to be a match made in heaven.
For me, nothing was better as a child than coming in on a crisp October evening to a warm bowl of my mom’s amazing clam chowder. Even now, as I think back, I can still smell that delicious aroma and taste that creamy, dreamy goodness. There simply isn’t a better soup than good old chowder!
It’s this timeless love and obsession for chowder that led me to today’s recipe. Just in time for fall, we have created a warm, simple dinner-time chowder recipe that is not only bursting with flavor, but filled with all your favorite food storage items. Even better, it cooks up in 5 minutes in your Fagor Pressure Cooker! How simple can you get? Grab your favorite soup spoon, it’s time for Pressure Cooker Corn Chowder!
First, add all your ingredients.
In your Fagor 3 in 1 Pressure Cooker
, add corn, butter, onion, potato dices, parsley, cayenne pepper, and TVP. Add water, half and half, and ultra gel, stir ingredients twice, then lock lid in to place.
Set pressure cooker to 5 minutes at high pressure.
Once finished, release pressure, stir once, then serve. If you’d like a little more liquid in your chowder, add ½ cup half and half while pressure cooker is set to warm, let sit for 1 minute, then serve.
This recipe is everything you remember about fall chowder as a child. The sweet taste of the corn, in contrast with the savory tastes of the potatoes, bacon tvp, and onion, give this chowder all the taste you’ve been dreaming of. The creaminess of the half and half make this chowder smooth, but not runny, with the perfect texture for an autumn dinner.
Nothing goes better together than fall and soup, and with this chowder, you now know why!
