It’s Party Time! Well, in one week it will be. That’s right, in no time at all we’ll be staying up late, celebrating the coming of a new year! And with that celebration comes the one thing I look forward to the most–Party food!

Whether it’s chips, dips, platters, dishes, or anything else you can imagine, nothing helps ring in the new year like tasty party snacks and meals. One of the most favored of those meals would have to be pizza! So, imagine if you could take all the tastes of a delicious pizza and roll it up into the convenient size of a cinnamon roll? What would you have? The ultimate party snack to ring in another year right, of course! Ladies and gentlemen, get ready for Pizza Pinwheels!

3 cups Water
1/4 cup Butter, melted
1/4 cup Agave Nectar
3 tsp Salt
4 Eggs
1/4 cup SAF Yeast
5-8 cups Honeyville Alta Artisan Bread Flour
1 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Ham
1 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Bell Peppers
1 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Mushrooms
1/4 cup Honeyville Tomato Powder + 3/4 cup water
1 Tbsp Chef Tess Romantic Italian Seasoning
2 cups Honeyville Freeze Dried Monterrey Jack Cheese

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Re-hydrate your ham, bell pepper, & mushrooms by soaking them separately in water, then draining the excess liquid.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine tomato powder and 3/4 cup water and mix together until a soft tomato paste forms.

In your Bosch Universal Mixer, combine dough ingredients in this order: water, eggs, butter, agave nectar, salt, 4 cups flour, and yeast. Begin mixing and add 4 additional cups of flour as dough is mixing until dough begins to pull away from the sides. Knead in machine for 5-6 minutes.

Remove dough from mixer and place on an oiled surface.

Divide in half and roll out dough into a flat, rectangle shape (Note, I baked a loaf of bread with the extra dough).

Add tomato paste over entire dough surface.

Add bell peppers and mushrooms.

Top off with ham.

Roll up your dough, making sure to keep roll tight and pinching the sides.

Slice up individual rolls and place in a greased baking pan. Sprinkle with Chef Tess seasoning after.

Place in preheated oven of 400 degrees and bake for 5 minutes, then knock temperature down to 325 and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.

While rolls are baking, re-hydrate your cheese by soaking in water, then draining excess liquid.

Remove rolls 5 minutes before finished, top with cheese, then place back in the oven and bake until cheese is completely melted.

Remove and serve.

These taste exactly like what they look like–rolled up pizzas! The flavor is out of this world! The roll itself is the perfect crust, baking up light and fluffy, yet soft and moist in the middle. Add more or less tomato paste or cheese depending on your choosing, or swap out any topping ingredients you’d like to fit the taste buds of your guests. Either way, you can’t go wrong with this new party favorite.
