Hot oatmeal for breakfast is actually a fairly fast thing to whip up.  Make a big batch and then each family member can flavor it according to their liking.  Most of the time I go with the standard maple syrup/brown sugar combo but here is one that you should try!  I love a peanut butter and honey sandwich so why not a hot breakfast version?!  I made the recipe with Honeyville 6 Grain Cereal but Honeyville Regular Rolled Oats could easily be used instead.

Ingredients:
(for a single serving)
1/2 cup Honeyville 6 Grain Cereal Mix or Honeyville Regular Rolled Oats
2 Tbsp prepared Honeyville Powdered Peanut Butter, divided
Pinch of Salt
Honey
Honeyville Freeze Dried Bananas

Directions:
Bring 1 cup of water to a boil.  Add a pinch of salt and the 6 Grain.

Stir and continue cooking for a few minutes until desired consistency is reached.  (We like the 6 grain to be fairly chewy.  Cook it longer if you like it more smooth.)  Transfer to serving bowl.  Stir in 1 heaping Tablespoon of peanut butter.  Top with freeze dried bananas and drizzles of honey and remaining peanut butter.

What is your favoring oatmeal combo in the morning?
