It’s been HOT lately, huh?? My favorite way to cool down is ice cream! But let’s be honest, if I ate ice cream every single day, I would gain weight sooooo fast! So- my NEW addiction is Banana Ice Cream! I have been watching the ads and buying a ton of banana’s when they go on sale! This recipe is amazing! I crave it daily! And as I eat it I hardly feel guilty because it is healthy compared to real ice cream! And the best part is- you can totally change the flavor of it nightly. Don’t disregard this recipe until you try it, I promise you won’t be disappointed! The following recipe is my ultimate favorite- banana’s and peanut butter, but you can also just do plain bananas, or you can add chocolate, or candy, or I even thought about adding some of our Freeze Dried Fruit or the Freeze Dried Yogurt Bites- be creative and then share what you tried! And this seriously tastes like ice cream!!
Ingredients:
2-3 Frozen Bananas
1/2 cup Honeyville Powdered Peanut Butter
1/4 cup Milk (or water)
Directions:
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend well. Eat right away or freeze until firm
Variations/Suggestions:
-You could blend all ingredients before you freeze the bananas, then freeze final product until firm. This will be less hard on your blender.
-Add any desired topping, fruit, or flavor- I used Honeyville’s Insta-Whip Topping
-The above recipe serves 2-3. I typically use 1-1 1/2 bananas per person
