Recently I was visiting California and went to Stephanie Young’s “Cooking with Kids” class and she was AMAZING!!! If you live in So. Cal you won’t want to miss her classes! She was such an entertaining teacher and full of knowledge on Honeyville’s products! Check out Rancho Cucamonga’s class schedule and make sure you catch her next class!
You all enjoying summer time? As I mentioned last week I love having a more laid back schedule for mealtimes in the summer! The number one requested meal in my house is Mac & Cheese. Well wouldn’t you know that I was given the most delicious Mac & Cheese Recipe you will EVER try from this class I attended. Now let me tell you- I DO NOT LIKE box Mac & Cheese (not even a little bit) so I will say I was very hesitant to try Mac & Cheese- but I did it to be polite and OH MY GOODNESS- I was asking for seconds and thirds- it was pure joy on my taste buds!!! Have I convinced you to try it yet?
Now for the best part- gather your little helpers to bag all the ingredients-make a lot, some for the next 6 months if you want. Then all you have to do is dump the ingredients in and it’s as easy as the kind that come in a box, but ten times better! Check out the recipe and make sure you give it a try.
Ingredients:
2 tsp Ultra Gel
1 tsp Chicken Bouillon
1/4 tsp Chef Tess All-Purpose Seasoning
Dash of Pepper
1/2 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Cheddar Cheese (separate baggie)
Directions:
Put all ingredients in a sandwich size Ziploc Bag- except for the Cheddar Cheese and put that in a separate baggie
To Prepare Meal:
Bring 3 cups water to a boil in a saucepan. Add the contents of the meal to the water (reserve baggie with cheese). Bring to a boil and stir a few times. Cover and simmer for 18 minutes. When done top with cheese and cover for 5 more minutes. Meal will thicken upon cooking.
And then enjoy…..a huge bowl of Mac & Cheese!!!
