This recipe is a Pinterest find (and remember to follow Honeyville on Pinterest too!). All of us need a little help with dinner ideas from time to time, right? I switched things up a little bit from the original post and I hope you like it as much as my family did.
Ingredients:
2 and 1/2 cups Honeyville Freeze Dried Ground Beef
1/4 cup Honeyville Dehydrated Green Onions
1/3 cup Brown Sugar
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
3 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tsp Sesame Seed Oil
1 (8 oz) can Water Chestnuts, drained and diced
pinch of Ground Ginger
pinch of Crushed Red Pepper
Directions:
In separate containers rehydrate the Green Onions and Ground Beef, according to the package directions. Drain well. In a skillet add sesame seed oil and garlic. Saute together and once garlic is flagrant add: beef, brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, water chestnuts, and crushed red pepper. Simmer together for a few minutes to let the flavors meld. Serve on top of rice and sprinkle generously with green onions.
And personally I like to mix it all together so each rice grain gets some sauce and it’s just yummy!
Happy Eating!
