Saturday July 9 10AM Marlene’s Magic Food Storage Step 1 & 2
Daneen Rugles, Marlene’s daughter, will be teaching this fun class.   Step 1 is basic items: wheat, powdered milk, oil, salt, honey or sugar and water.  You’ll learn what you can make with just these items.  Now incorporate Step 2 by adding: eggs and leavening agents and you’ll have lots more of what you can make!  Cost is $5 per person or $7 per couple.

Terry Montgomery started his pastry career back in 1996 at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City baking for The Roof and Garden Restaurants as well as making creations for the banquets.  Later he moved on to continue his creations at the Gastronomy Restaurant Inc. creating for their seven fine restaurants.  There he specialized in the French Pastries.  So with his 6 years of experience in the restaurant scene, he decided to move his family to the Tremonton area, where his is continuing to teach and bake with his wife and two daughters.  Come learn from the best!

This class you’ll learn about the “major canning sins” and current food preservation resources and techniques.  Plan on joining Ann Henderson from the USU Extension for this class.  Pressure canner gauges will be tested for $1 following the class.
