Say hello to the spicy addition to our Honeyville family, our Freeze Dried Jalapenos! We’ve actually had our Jalapenos for a while, but just haven’t found the right recipe to unleash their spicy goodness on. Not until now! Grab a tall glass of ice water and prepare your tastebuds for some heat, it’s time for Jalapeno Stuffed Rolls!
Ingredients (Rolls):
3 cups Warm Water
1/4 cup Butter, melted
1/4 cup Agave Nectar
3 tsp Salt
4 Eggs
(Stuffing):
1 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Jalapenos
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Re-hydrate your Jalapenos and cheese by soaking separately in water, then draining excess water.
In your Bosch Universal Mixer, combine dough ingredients in this order: water, eggs, butter, agave nectar, salt, 4 cups flour, and yeast. Begin mixing and add 4 additional cups of flour as dough is mixing until dough begins to pull away from the sides. Knead in machine for 5-6 minutes.
Remove dough from mixer and place on an oiled surface. Divide in half and roll out dough into a flat, rectangle shape (I baked a loaf of bread with the leftover dough).
With a dough scraper or pizza cutter, slice rolled out dough into small squares.
Taking a square of dough, place a spoonful of cheese and jalapenos on top.
Roll ball up with jalapenos and cheese inside.
Place on parchment lined baking sheet.
Repeat for remaining squares.
After you have made your rolls, brush the tops of each roll with melted butter.
Place in oven and bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes, then bump temperature down to 325 and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
Remove and serve.
This is the dinner roll your never expected! The flavor from the jalapenos with have you sweating with every bite. The Monterey Jack really helps to balance out the flavor, and the dough is super light and fluffy, giving you the perfect container for this inferno of flavor. Serve these for your New Year’s Eve Party and you’ll have people begging you for this super delicious, and super hot recipe!
It’s time to bring the heat to this New Year’s Eve, and these rolls are the perfect way to do it!
