One of the most important parts of Food Storage is rotation. While many of us are focused on long term events when we purchase our food storage supplies, we always seem to forget the importance of constantly rotating our current stash in to our everyday cooking and baking.

Perhaps one of the biggest reasons so many of us fail to properly rotate our food items in is that we simply don’t know how to include these products in our everyday use. That’s where today’s recipe comes in. We thought that we’d show you how, by taking a few simple items from your food storage pantry, you can create a delicious, everyday meal your whole family will love. Best of all, it’s a chance to use some of those items in your pantry that are reaching the end of their shelf life age. Let’s get to making some delicious Food Storage Fried Rice!

Ingredients:
1 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Scrambled Eggs
1/3 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Onions
2 Garlic cloves, minced
1 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Vegetable Mix
2 cups Honeyville Long Grain White Rice
3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
3 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
2 tsp Sesame Oil

Directions:
First, you’ll need to cook your rice.

Using your Fagor 3 in 1 cooker, pour 2 cups rice and 3 cups water, set your rice setting, and begin. Your rice should take about 6 minutes to cook.

Once cooked, remove rice from cooker and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.

In a large wok pan, combine minced garlic and sesame oil and and stir fry for about a minute.

Add rice, vegetable mix, onions, scrambled eggs, soy sauce, and oyster sauce, and stir fry until completely combined. Remember to keep stirring so that ingredients don’t burn.

Remove from heat and serve.

This meal is not only super delicious, but amazingly simple to make. Total cook time is around 15 minutes. The aroma of garlic, sesame oil, and soy sauce will fill your kitchen and home, pulling in all family members and making dinner time that much more special.
