There’s nothing more refreshing than a tall glass of Eggnog during the Holiday season! The spiced, creamy drink always gets me in the mood for colored lights, tinsel, and the rich smell of evergreens!
Perhaps even better than a glass of eggnog is a warm, baked goody infused with this taste. Whether it’s Eggnog Cookies or eggnog flavored candies, we just can’t get enough of that sweet and spiced taste, especially now!
It’s this extreme love of eggnog that led to today’s post. Taking that over-the-top Holiday taste and combining it with a little rum flavoring, we’ve created a delicious cake bread that you’ll enjoy, one slice at a time! Grab your apron, it’s time for Eggnog Bread!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups Eggnog
2 Eggs
1 tsp Rum Flavoring
1 cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 cup Butter, softened
2 1/4 cups Honeyville Alta Artisan Flour
1/2 cup Honeyville Vanilla Pudding Mix
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
Glaze:
1 cup Powdered Sugar
3 Tbsp Eggnog
1 tsp Rum Flavoring
1/8 tsp Nutmeg
Yields: 1 large loaf
Ingredients:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, cream together eggs, eggnog, rum flavoring, sugar, vanilla, and butter.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, pudding mix, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
Combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients and mix until a firm batter forms.
Pour batter into your USA Pan Large Loaf Pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing.
While bread is cooling, make your glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, eggnog, rum flavoring, and nutmeg.
Gentle drizzle glaze over the top of your cooled bread. Slice and serve.
