If you’ve been to one of the Retail Stores recently you may have noticed this new guy:
This is a great product to use in your cooking and baking. For drinking I still recommend using Honeyville’s Milk Substitute. The Instant Non Fat Milk is an excellent source of Protein, Calcium, Vitamin D and Vitamin A. If kept in the sealed #10 can under ideal storage conditions, it has a shelf life of 3-5 years; once opened use this product in 3 months.
I whipped up this easy glaze for some cinnamon rolls, but this glaze could be used on any sweet breads, doughnuts, Bundt cakes or other baked goods. As I was typing this post I thought that it might but kind of fun to drizzle this over some fruit topped French Toast. Yummy! Sometimes you want a frosting but sometimes you need a glaze. This glaze is so easy to make.
Ingredients:
2 tsp. Honeyville’s Instant Non Fat Dry Milk Powder
1 and 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
3 Tbsp Water
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together until smooth. Drizzle over baked good. For best results wait until baked good has cooled before drizzling glaze. Otherwise if the baked good is still too hot the glaze gets absorbed by the baked good rather than staying on top.
You could also add some vanilla, orange or lemon zest for a new flavor profile. I think it’d be fun to glaze the tops of sugar cookies with some flavored glaze.
Happy Eating Everybody!
