Ingredients (Chicken):
2 cups Honeyville Freeze Dried Chicken
2 cups Honeyville Alta Artisan Flour
2 tsp All Purpsoe Seasoning
2 Eggs
1 cup Oil (For Frying)
(Waffles):
1 1/2 cups Honeyville Alta Artisan Flour
1/4 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Ultra Gel
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Salt
5 Tbsp Honeyville Buttermilk Powder + 2 cups Water
2 Eggs
1/2 cup Butter, melted
1 tsp Vanilla
(Spicy Syrup):
1 cup Maple Syrup
2 tsp Hot Sauce (your choice)
Directions:
First, prepare your chicken. Heat up your oil for frying in a pan on the stove top.
In 3 separate bowls, re-hydrate your chicken, whisk together your eggs, and mix together the dry ingredients for your chicken batter.
Take a handful of chicken and coat it in the egg wash.
Transfer that chicken from the egg wash to your batter ingredients.
Drop in the pan and fry up until golden brown.
Remove and allow to cool on a plate covered with a paper towel.
Next, in a large bowl, combine all your waffle ingredients, and whisk together.
Using a waffle iron of your choice, bake up your waffles until golden brown. Depending on size, this recipe should make about 3 waffles.
After waffles are complete, make your spicy syrup by whisking together maple syrup and hot sauce until fully combined.
Make your sandwiches, top with syrup, then serve.
