Today, we’re showing the final two of the four videos we’ve created, a two-meals in one personal Meals in a Jar video, and, just in time for the holidays, a Mango-Berry Cobbler Dessert in a Jar, the perfect Holiday gift for friends, neighbors, and family. Enjoy!

Chef Tess Personal Meals in a Jar – Classic Italian Tomato Sauce & Cheeseburger Sauce with Noodle Base Recipe



For the Noodle Base:
1 oz broken spaghetti or macaroni noodles (about 1/4 cup)
1T Honeyville Dehydrated Carrot
2T Honeyville Freeze Dried Bell Peppers
1/4 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Mushrooms
2 tsp Honeyville Freeze Dried Onion
1/4 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Ground Beef or Sausage

Classic Italian Tomato Sauce
To each Noodle Base Jar add:
3T Honeyville Tomato Powder
1 tsp Chef Tess Italian Seasoning

To prepare:

Bring 1 1/3 cups water to a rolling boil. Remove and discard oxygen absorber (they are only good once). Pour contents of jar into boiling water and stir. Boil 8-10 minutes until noodles are tender. Serve hot.

Cheeseburger Sauce
To each Noodle Base Jar add:
1/4 cup Honeyville Cheese Sauce Powder
2T Honeyville Instant Dry Milk
2T Honeyville Freeze Dried Cheddar Cheese
1/4 tsp granulated garlic

To prepare:

Put contents of mix in a 12 inch skillet (with a lid). Add 1 1/3 cups water. Bring to a boil and cover. Simmer 12-15 minutes until noodles are tender. Sauce will thicken a little more as it cools. Yield 1 1/2 cups prepared.

Chef Tess Tropical Mango-Berry Cobbler in a Jar


Filling:
1 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Mango
1/2 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Strawberries
1/2 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Blackberries
2T Honeyville Lemonade Mix
1/4 cup Ultra Gel
1 tsp make-a-mix almond powder

Cobbler topping:
1 cup Honeyville Buttermilk Pancake Mix
2T Honeyville Tropical Monsoon Smoothie Mix
2T Honeyville Strawberry Milk Alternative
2T Honeyville Powdered Butter
1/2 tsp dehydrated lime zest

To prepare:

Filling Directions: Combine fruit mixture with 2 cups water. Mix well. Simmer over low heat 10 minutes until fruit tender and mixture is thick. Allow to cool about 10 minutes.

Topping Directions: In a medium bowl, combine topping mixture with 1/3 cup water just until combined. Do not over mix.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Put the thickened filling mixture in a 1 quart casserole. Drop the cobbler topping mixture on the fruit mixture. Bake 30-35 minutes until golden.
