Spring is in full bloom and that can mean only one thing. Camping season is officially here! Yes, it’s time to pull the tent, sleeping bags, and lanterns out of storage and get ready for a full season of weekend trips, backpacking to your favorite spots, and, of course, cast iron fireside meals!
What is it about dishes baked up in a good old cast iron skillet that we love so much? Is it the seasoned taste that can only be found in these titans of the campsite cookware? Is it the ease in which these meals come together? Is it the aroma of warming metal and baked dishes becoming infused into one mouth-watering, knee slapping delight? Perhaps it’s a little bit of everything.
Today, I thought we’d officially kick off the camping season with the perfect cast iron breakfast dish, cinnamon rolls! Best of all, whether you’re a die hard explorer or stay-at-home extraordinaire, you can still enjoy these tasty treats. No campfire required!
