Growing up my husband ate a very fancy breakfast: semoul de ble’ .  As it turns out that was just French for farina!  Have you ever tried farina before?  It is very smooth and came together faster than a batch of pancakes.

Ingredients:
2/3 cup Honeyville Farina
3 cups Water
pinch of Salt
additions of choice: Maple Syrup, Brown Sugar, Freeze Dried Fruit, Honey, Hot Chocolate, Nuts, etc.

Directions:
In a sauce pan, bring 3 cups of water to a boil.  Whisk in remaining ingredients.  Continue cooking and stirring for another 2 minutes until smooth.  The farina will continue to thicken upon standing.

I like to personalize each bowl.  The picture above shows farina sprinkled with brown sugar, maple syrup, and pecans.  If you like chocolate (and you know I LOVE Honeyville Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa ) try adding in a scoop of cocoa mix.  Maybe savory is more your style…how about some pepper, Honeyville Dehydrated Green Onions, and some Honeyville Bacon Flavored TVP

Happy Eating!
